The versatility of the Astondoa boats arrives to FLIBS. On display 377 Coupe, 52 and 66 Flybridge and 100 Century

ASTONDOA will display four of his boats at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), October 30-November 3 at Bahia Mar, Booth #FG Dock 101-105. Next to the yacht builder, their Dealers for Americas will participate also at the yacht show: G MARINE and RICK OBEY YACHT SALES.

Demonstrating the versatility of the custom yacht builder, four boats, ranging from 37-100’ will offer the boat buyer a sporty cruiser in the 377 Coupe, 52 and 66 Flybridge motoryachts and the luxurious amenities of the 100 Century. Both the 377 Coupe, an outboard-powered center console, and the 100 Century are making their U.S. debut at FLIBS. Since each Astondoa is bespoke, these four yachts will offer a sampling of boating lifestyles presented by the shipyard that has celebrated over 100 years of custom shipbuilding.

377 COUPE OUTBOARD

As the popularity of outboard center consoles continues to soar in the American markets, G Marine took the opportunity to turn Astondoa’s 377 Coupe, its newest and smallest boat, from an inboard diesel to an outboard gasoline-powered sporty cruiser with yacht-like amenities. With triple Mercury 350 HP outboard engines this boat can reach over 38 knots, cruising comfortably at 30, carrying a boatload of friends and family. Unusual for this size craft, the 377 Coupe even provides a full air-conditioned cabin, galley and stand up head and shower.

The deep freeboard (inspired by the shape of an Orca whale) provides for the spacious below deck amenities; the high gunwales also provide for the comfort and safety of the full walk-around teak deck, ample sun pads on the bow and aft deck and also for the 3-seated helm protected by a uniquely shaped windshield and T-top. Behind the helm is an outdoor galley with a grill, refrigerator and wet bar for easy entertaining.

The aft deck has a table between the rear and front facing benches, which easily convert to a full deck lounge. The three-person aft sun pad opens to a teak swim platform where a wide garage carries water toys and enables engine access, creatively using every space onboard. Storage space is also amply spread throughout the boat, including a teak bow seat with docking gear tucked below it.

Spanish craftsmanship meets technology where top-quality navigation and electronics join optional bow thruster, joystick controls and a sound system to keep the party going. A 220-gallon fuel tank facilitates a 200-nautical mile range and a lot of on-water fun—all in an easy-to-operate, sun-loving power cruiser.

52 FLYBRIDGE

For those who like to operate their own boat, the Astondoa 52 Flybridge is manageable with Megayacht features. The flybridge is center stage with L-shaped seating surrounding the helm, covered by a hardtop with a retractable canvas roof. The outdoor kitchen grill, refrigerator, wet bar and dining table, which converts to a cocktail table, offer ideal entertainment amenities, while the broad bow sun pad and Portuguese lounge provide breezy sunning space.

Teak stairs lead to the spacious aft deck where more sun and shade offer more lounging and dining areas. A few steps down, the submersible swim platform is fronted by a garage and rail system, ideal for launching personal watercraft or storing water toys, and it also offers a day head. If desired, the garage can be customized as crew quarters.

Also accessible from the aft deck via a 3-panel folding door, the salon offers an elegant space with wood floors, custom couches and leather furnishings that double as seating or cocktail tables. The galley can be placed forward or aft and the entertainment system links to the navigation and operation system.

Custom cabinetry in the salon, galley and helm is carried through to the three luxurious staterooms below, each en suite and each enjoying water views from the elongated windows.

Twin Volvo Penta D8 IPS 800 engines are standard with Volvo Penta D11-725 HP engines available for those with the need for speed.

66 FLYBRIDGE

With a bit more length and beam, the Astondoa 66 Flybridge offers even more yacht-like amenities, including an extra stateroom, a flybridge with room for a tender and crew quarters that can double as extra guest space when needed.

The latest 66 Flybridge was customized for a large family of avid boaters with a flybridge that offers generous sun lounges, yet a hardtop protected helm and bench seating areas. A full outdoor galley makes dining al fresco fun for all while the tender lift system facilitates water play as well.

Down the stairs, the teak deck is one level from the bow’s sun pad and Portuguese lounge to the protected aft deck. The space is livable and comfortable, adjoining the salon, galley and dining area which ads more creature comforts, custom built for individual tastes. From the deck, a few steps down, the broad teak swim platform can accommodate a tender or access to other watersports.

A full beam en suite master stateroom adds luxury for leisurely relaxation and each of the other three en suite staterooms are furnished with equally luxurious finishes, storage and comforts.

Twin diesel Volvo Penta IPS 1200 or MAN V8 1200 provide for long-range cruising pleasure for up to 8 guests and 2 crew.

100 CENTURY

While reminiscent of Astondoa’s 100-year heritage, the 100 Century is also totally contemporary. Collaboration with Cristiano Gatto brought an additional touch of Italian design to the Spanish shipyard so the quality of craftsmanship is matched by its impeccable attention to design detail, colors, textures and blend of woods, metals and fabrics.

The flybridge is central to the yachting lifestyle, as it offers outdoor sunning space with a louvered retractable sunroof for protection where needed, an outdoor kitchen, teak deck, elegant bar seating and a Jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads. Wide teak walkways give a spacious feel, total walk-around comfort and access to the bow sun pads and Bimini-covered Portuguese lounge.

The helm stations above and below feature the latest in navigation and operational technologies, all built-into custom-constructed cabinetry of the highest quality and finishes. Likewise, all the furnishings in the adjacent salon, formal dining space with floor-to-ceiling windows, showcase Astondoa’s craftsmanship and Cristiano Gatto’s décor specifications. A full galley is discreetly located forward of the living space for easy access.

The below-deck four staterooms are spacious, elegant and replete with storage and luxurious en suite heads. The full-beam master is on the main deck and includes a generous closet space, vanity table, lounges and his and her sinks in the customized head. Twelve guests can be comfortably ensconced in luxury accommodations as are five crew members.

As in all Astondoa engine rooms, stainless steel gleams, housing twin 2,186 HP MTU 16 V 2000 M86 engines, and an option for the 200 M96 engine producing 2400 HP is also available. A 2,880-gallon fuel tank provides considerable range.
